NECKENMARKT

An den Südhängen des Ödenburger Gebirges liegen unsere Weingärten in Neckenmarkt. Die Vielfalt der Böden in Neckenmarkt ist enorm. Vom ‚Satz’ im östlichen Teil, der den tiefgründigen Lehmboden widerspiegelt, über karge von Schiefer und Gneis geprägte Lagen wie dem ‚Bodigraben’ und dem ‚Hochberg’, bis zum westlichsten Teil, dem ‚Hussi’, der auf Muschelkalk liegt.

Enorme Fruchttiefe, Lebendigkeit und Kraft wirken hier in den Weinen.

The vineyards of Neckenmarkt are situated on the southern slopes of the Ödenburg-mountains. The variety of soils in Neckenmarkt is immense: From the “Satz” in the east, with its deep clay soil, to barren grounds on shale and gneiss like the “Bodigraben” and the “Hochberg”, and to the west the “Ried Hussy” single vineyard, situated on a deposit of shell limestone. Small plots are also located on “Spiegelberg” and “Kronberg” hills. The wines of Neckenmarkt show deep fruit, liveliness and, depending on the terroir, different levels of tannin.
